THAM & VIDEGARD HANSSON ARKITEKTER

Tham & Videgård Hansson Arkitekter was founded in Stockholm in 1999 by Bolle Tham (1970)
and Martin Videgård Hansson (1968) with the ambition to offer a progressive and contemporary
alternative in the wide field of architecture. The practice work on building design, planning and interior
design in commissions for public-, commercial- and private clients.

The objective is to create distinct and relevant architecture with the starting point in the unique context
and specific conditions of each project.

The practice has been awarded prizes and nominations in several open international competitions and
has also attracted attention for experimental interiors and housing projects. In 2005 TVH won, among 300
proposals, the competition for the new Museum of Art in Kalmar that opened to the public in May 2008.

Recently, after prequalification of four international teams, TVH won the competition for the new School
of Architecture and the new Campus Entrance at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm.

Projects include:
- Public buildings
- Housing and urban planning
- Workplaces, offices
- Commercial, shops and showrooms
- Refurbishment and restauration
- Interior and product design

Ongoing and recently completed commissions include several houses, housing and planning projects,
the Kalmar Museum of Art, the Ordos100 house in China, kit-houses for Arkitekthus, a Kindergarten
at Telefonplan, a new permanent exhibition at the Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities and the above
mentioned School of Architecture. As an integrated part of the architectural practice, Bolle Tham
and Martin Videgård Hansson also take an active interest in education; teach and lecture at schools
of architecture in Sweden and abroad. They also participate as representants for the Swedish
Association of Architects as members of the jury for architectural competitions in Sweden.
