Cuarto is a wide range design office, founded in Mexico City, 2004. The workshop was started by three
architects: Connie Mier y Terán Sacre, Karla García Moreno, and Morgana Ludlow Echeverría; all Architecture

Cuarto arises from the need to represent ourselves as a work team, as en entity larger than its members.

We look to describe our selves as a wide range work shop, without defined frontiers between architecture,
engineering and other aspects in design. In this search we find the word cuarto, which we can relate with
because of its multiple meanings. In Spanish cuarto phonetically is expressed as k-war-toh and numerically
it can be 0.25 or ¼. For us cuarto covers: space, a number, a part of something.

From the beginning, our objective has been to design… wherever it may be possible. The range of projects
that Cuarto handles today makes us learn new things each day. Each project is a new possibility for a quality
result, sustainability, image and function.

We search for a multidisciplinary team; today Cuarto is integrated by Architects and Industrial Designers.
We have collaborated in different projects with people who’s capacity, professionalism, diversity and work
we admire.
