ABOUT PRACTICE

Our firm is located in Dallas; its built work can be found throughout the United States, Central America
and the Caribbean.

The architectural portion of our practice encompasses single and multi-family homes, high-rise condominiums,
low and high-rise office buildings and commercial mixed-use developments. This portion of our practice is
overseen by Lionel Morrison. The interior design activities of our firm include hotel interiors, offices and homes.
These are managed by Susan Seifert and Pat Murphy.

We, along with our professional staff approach all our assignments in the same way, i.e. we develop
a thorough understanding of site, culture, climate, program, available building technologies and appropriate
materials. We are constantly aware of the wondrous effect of natural light when utilized sensitively and
the power of indoor-outdoor relationships.

We strive for simple, elegant solutions in our work. That should not be confused with homogeneity. One can
find expressive differences in some our work. These differences are the product of our design process that
seeks to achieve the best solution for the individual problem rather than the imposition a prescribed style
regardless of the -circumstances. A resort hotel in the Caribbean responds to an entirely different set of
issues than an office building in downtown Dallas. Their physical manifestations should reflect those differences.

Ours is one of the very few firms that actively and purposefully design single family homes, urban and resort
hotels and large-scale, urban mixed-use developments simultaneously. We enjoy this diversity and believe
that working in these different areas makes us better designers. Work in one area informs the work of the
others and keeps us fresh in terms of our design approach across the board.
